Chris is a former Michigan Wolverine standout and an All State and All Region singles player at Bloomfield
Andover High School. He spent his junior year of high school attending the Saddlebrook Tennis Academy in Tampa, Florida. He trained daily, competing with many top-ranked pros. While in high school, Chris went undefeated his junior season sweeping the regional and state championship. He was voted Florida’s player of the year. Chris competed in ITF Junior tournaments such as the Yucatan Cup, the Eddie Herr and the Orange Bowl. In 1998-99 he traveled throughout the United States competing in satellite tournaments. He was a two-time captain at the University of Michigan.
